David Y. Kahn, MD, MPH

Delivering individualized treatment and helping create a better cancer care experience.

Leading our team is Dr. David Y. Kahn, a board-certified medical oncologist who treats all cancer types. While his extensive medical education and career have taken him all over the country, Dr. Kahn returned to Phoenix—where he grew up—in 2010 and has been practicing in the West Valley ever since.

Kahn’s patients and colleagues trust him to evaluate, diagnose, manage, and treat oncologic and hematologic malignancies. He is on staff at Banner Del E. Webb and Banner Boswell Hospitals.

He has authored several publications and given multiple poster presentations. Dr. Kahn’s background also includes conducting extensive research at Yale University, Cornell University, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health/CDC, and other highly respected organizations.

Dr. Kahn is dedicated to spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys staying active and has earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Stephen J. Lemon, MD, MPH

Dedicated to patient-focused care and taking the fear out of the cancer experience.

We take pride in the clinical and non-clinical integrity that Dr. Stephen J. Lemon brings to our practice. With three board certifications and more than 13 years of experience in medical oncology, he is not only passionate about all aspects of cancer care—he is a father of two who strives to be an example in community service.

Dr. Lemon founded The Lighter Side of Cancer as a place for people to find useful cancer information and to showcase the non-clinical side of cancer, to highlight the strength cancer survivors exhibit every day as they take on their journey with cancer. They inspire others and prove that a little levity goes a long way.

Your Patient Advocate

The process of cancer care can be overwhelming, especially during an already frightening time. That’s why every Oncology Care Partners patient is assigned a dedicated Patient Advocate. The advocate knows the process inside and out, and is there to keep everything on track and moving smoothly.

Along with meeting with the patient every visit, the advocate proactively checks in between visits. Whether it’s scheduling labs, following up on questions, explaining treatment, coordinating with caregivers or simply offering a reassuring voice, the advocate ensures better adherence to follow-up care and can identify the need for early intervention when issues arise.
