Mark S. Lewis, MD-PhD, FACP

A board-certified medical oncologist dedicated to patient-focused care.

Dr. Lewis is an experienced and compassionate clinician focused on the individuals and families in his care. With specializations in hematology, oncology, palliative medicine, and internal medicine, he has been serving Florida and his community for more than a decade. While he has practiced in many states, he loves living in the Broward County area and being part of this vibrant community. Dr. Lewis is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Ashok Kumar, MD

Focused on delivering the best possible patient experience in cancer care.

An expert in medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Kumar serves patients with unmatched compassion and empathy. He is dedicated to applying his experience and wisdom to help Oncology Care Partners deliver the best possible patient journey in cancer care. Dr. Kumar was a managing partner with Cancer Care of Central Pennsylvania for fifteen years before relocating to South Florida in 2015 where he quickly became an active and involved member of his local community.

Your Patient Advocate

The process of cancer care can be overwhelming, especially during an already frightening time. That’s why every Oncology Care Partners patient is assigned a dedicated Patient Advocate. The Advocate knows the process inside and out, and is there to keep everything on track and moving smoothly.

Along with meeting with the patient every visit, the Advocate proactively checks in between visits. Whether it’s following up on questions, explaining treatment, coordinating with caregivers or simply offering a reassuring voice, the Advocate ensures better adherence to follow-up care and can identify the need for early intervention when issues arise.
